Sport Fans have their say on drugs and sport
The latest SPORTSPOLL asked sports fans for their views
on the drugs in
sport
issues. The results show that:
- Fans are demanding that drugs like ecstasy,cocaine
and heroin be referred to as
illegal and not illicit or
recreational drugs.
An overwhelming 81% of fans reported th
at these drugs should
be referred to as illegal drugs.
This strong result appears at odds with current practice by major sports in Australia to refer to these simply as illicit drugs.
